Joint pain treatment in New Milton
Joint pain can affect almost any part of the body, making everyday activities such as walking, lifting, reaching, exercising or even sometimes getting dressed more difficult. Whether you are experiencing pain in your shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle or foot, identifying the underlying cause is the first step towards effective treatment.

Find the source — then treat it
At BritChiro New Milton, our experienced chiropractors assess how your joints, muscles and spine work together to help determine why you are in pain. Sometimes the source of your symptoms is exactly where you feel it, while in other cases the pain can be influenced by problems elsewhere in the body. A thorough assessment allows us to provide the most appropriate treatment for your specific needs.
For many years, BritChiro New Milton has helped thousands of people from New Milton, Barton-on-Sea, Highcliffe, Milford-on-Sea, Christchurch and the New Forest area find relief from joint pain and other joint-related conditions.

Findings explained in plain English
Patients who came in with joint pain
Real feedback from our Google reviews — in patients’ own words.
“I first visited BritChiro when I suffered a disc prolapse in my neck… I recently developed a painful hip condition which made walking difficult. The treatment I have received has helped to get me back on my feet and back to work.”
“…I was in danger of suffering seriously impaired mobility due to previously unidentified herniated discs in my spine. Regular treatment since then… has kept me fully active and prevented further deterioration.”
Questions people ask about joint pain
If you’re wondering about anything else, just give us a call — we’re happy to help.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. Chiropractors are primary healthcare practitioners, so you can book directly with us — many GPs actually refer their patients to our clinic. Most private health insurance providers cover all or part of the cost of treatment. Please check your individual policy.
Will I need an X-Ray for my joint pain?
Only if it will genuinely help. Our on-site digital X-Ray can refine your diagnosis, providing detailed information about specific areas of your spine and your condition. We’ll always discuss it with you first — and only take images when there’s a clear clinical reason.
Will treatment hurt?
Treatment involves precise adjustments of specific joints, and these are typically painless. Some techniques produce a “click” or “pop” sound from the joint — a novel experience the first time, but still pain-free. Your chiropractor will explain everything before starting.
What if chiropractic isn’t right for my joint pain?
We’ll tell you straight. If your examination suggests you’d be better cared for elsewhere, we’ll explain why, refer you to your GP or an appropriate specialist, and — where helpful — write a short report to guide you to the right care.
